Meher & Riddhima S/S 2011
This season Meher & Riddhima presented their "Amelia" collection, dedicated and named after the American explorer and pilot, Amelia Earhart. In the press conference following their show, the young designers said " The collection represent her progressive vision and philosophy". The collection featured airplane prints on white canvases, followed by an array of draped bright coloured pieces, after which floor length kaftans were then sent down the runway in hues of coral, greens, peach and yellow. In their words " the collection is feminine, playful and colourful. In their second season at DFW, the designers served up an excellent collection. I certainly liked a few pieces like the black jumpsuit and the green mini and fuchsia dresses as well as the white finale dress, and i really liked the clutches.
