One thing to note is that the convention centre is surrounded by an unusually high number of schools. Expect a little congestion in the area during school transportation hours.

Bobble exclusively launching at Harvey Nichols

Harvey Nichols is exclusively launching Bobble water bottles in the UK this July. Bobble’s ingenious design removes chlorine and contaminants from tap water. Bobble replicates the experience of drinking crisp, clean portable water without incurring the significant costs – both environmental and monetary – associated with plastic bottles. Designed by renowned industrial designer Karim Rashid, the iconic-shaped bobble comes in six distinct colours: green, red, blue, magenta, black and yellow. As water passes over the carbon filter, the negative ions of contaminants are drawn to the carbon granules – leaving the water cleaner tasting than ever. The UK spends more than £1 billion every year purchasing bottled water and most plastic bottles are casually discarded, only to end up in the nation’s landfills. Using a single bobble filter will reduce the environmental impact on landfills by more than 300 water bottles. Made from recycled plastic and free of BPA, Phthalates and PVC, bobble is this summer’s must-have reusable accessory. Bobble’s low price will mitigate the cost of regular bottled water consumption, which can cost individuals hundreds of pounds annually. Bobble has been a huge success in the US since its launch in February. Now, Harvey Nichols is pleased to bring this innovative water bottle to the UK Bobble will be available exclusively at Harvey Nichols Foodmarkets nationwide from 30 July, priced at £9.95.

June Challenge for "Interpret This"

On The Forest Floor - 17" x 13"

Where this beautiful blue butterfly was photographed by Karen was the  first and strongest thought in my mind, for I have walked in  a few of the Forest Preserves that thread through the suburb's  of Chicago. That initial thought wouldn't leave my head so I took on the challenge of portraying the forest floor.

I've posted about the "groundwork" that began with the green scraps I set aside while digging through my bags for pieces to make waves on my BIG lake quilt.
Click here to go to the "Interpret This" blog to read the rest of my story.  Be sure to check out the other interpretations of this same photo.  Six have been posted prior to mine and there will be another this afternoon and two more tomorrow.
