Kim Kardashian launches online fashion retailer in the UK

Co-founded by Kim Kardashian, online fashion accessories retailer ShoeDazzle is launching its online styling service and fashion store in the UK this September. ShoeDazzle was founded in 2009 in America and currently has over 3 million members. The website works with customers completing a free ShoeDazzle style profile, picking their favourite celebrity looks or catwalk images. Once the profile has been created, ShoeDazzle's celebrity stylists, including Kim, will create a personal selection of shoes, handbags and jewellery to specifically suit the consumers individual style, giving the customer a personalised shopping experience. Every product on the site is priced at £39.95.

Yahoo! launches new celebrity site omg!

Yahoo! has announced the launch of omg!, a unique online destination focusing on daily celebrity news, photos, exclusive blogs and interactive video content.

The combination of in-house content and premium partnerships will ensure the site delivers the most current and relevant celebrity content to potentially 27million monthly Yahoo! users (April Comscore).

omg! launches with Julia White as editor, previously deputy editor of OK! online, who will lead a creative editorial team to ensure omg! is fresh in content and relevant to its readers. The editorial team’s core focus will be to make the content both engaging and entertaining whilst offering an effective creative canvas for advertising partners.

Robbie Williams to launch new clothing line in September

Farrell, the new British menswear label from Robbie Williams, is launching into stores this September. The collection is named after the British singer’s Grandfather Jack Farrell. It will be sold exclusively through House of Fraser department stores, houseoffraser.co.uk and online department store very.co.uk. Future collections will be available across Europe. Retail prices will range from £35.00 to £350.00.

Celebrity tattooist Lou Molloy launches fashion collection

Lou Molloy, tattooist to celebrities including David Beckham and star of TV programme London Ink, has launched a menswear capsule collection based on his tattoos. The range is available at loumolloy.com and features line drawings and detailed shading on a palette of neutrals, khakis and white.

John Smedley has collaborated on knitwear pieces including cardigans, polos and jumpers. Also available will be a limited edition guardian angel T-shirt in a signed box that can be hung like a canvas.

Keisha Buchanan to perform at Jacques Townhouse

Fruit cider brand Jacques has appointed former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan as the lady of The Jacques Townhouse. The singer-songwriter has stamped her style on this year’s Townhouse and will perform her first solo gig at the venue on 19 July.

The Jacques Townhouse, which first took place last year, returns with two new secret locations this Summer. The first will be a townhouse in Central London and the second in Liverpool. The London Townhouse will be launched with a celebrity party on 19 July, hosted by Keisha, who will perform material from her debut solo album.

Scottish Fashion Awards 2011 winners announced

The 2011 Scottish Fashion Awards (in association with VOGUE.COM) took place last night at Glasgow Science Centre. Samantha Cameron, in her role as Ambassador to the British Fashion Council, attended the event and presented the evening’s most prestigious award - ‘Scottish Fashion Designer of the Year 2011’ to Jonathan Saunders.

Hosted by MTV’s Laura Whitmore, awards were given to Harris Tweed Hebrides, Tali Lennox, Henrietta Ludgate, Henry Holland, Bebaroque and Rankin, who received the Hall of Fame 2011 award. Guests and judges in attendance on the night included Dolly Jones, editor of Vogue.com; Nathalie Colin, Creative Director of Swarovski; Hilary Alexander, fashion director of The Daily Telegraph; Paula Reed, style director at Grazia; Sarah Bailey, deputy editor of Harpers Bazaar; Eilidh McAskill, editor of InStyle; Richard Walker, editor of Sunday Herald; Professor Wendy Dagworthy and Brian Duffy President of Ralph Lauren Europe.

Tobey Maguire fronts Prada menswear AW11 campaign

Tobey Maguire has been named as the face of Prada menswear’s AW11 advertising campaign; photographed in New York City by David Sims. The campaign portraits show Maguire in a boxy three-button jacket over a mock turtleneck, while sunglasses paired with a buttoned shirt give a nod to the style of Hollywood fashion icons past. The American, famous for his interpretation of Spiderman, is set to star in Baz Luhrmann’s remake of F.Scott Fitzgerald’s 1920's classic, The Great Gatsby, next year.

Paul Weller designs capsule fashion collection for Pretty Green

British musician Paul Weller has designed his first capsule fashion collection in partnership with Liam Gallagher’s label Pretty Green. The first collection will have six limited edition items, all showcasing Weller’s personal style and fashion sense, these include a high-shine zip biker jacket (£175.00), a three-quartered length Indian linen shirt (£125.00), an Egyptian cotton long-sleeved t-shirt (£40.00), a statement tank top with satin trim (£30.00) and a pleated silk scarf (£45.00).

The first collection will be released for Summer 2011 and will be available to buy on 23 June from Pretty Green stores and online at www.prettygreen.com/paulweller. Weller has also designed a fuller collection for AW11 that will include a wider range of items including tailored suits, pea coats, knitwear, tees, shoes and accessories.

Rankin designs new collection for Swatch

British photographer Rankin has created eight new watches for Swatch in the classic 'Gent Original' format as part of the Swatch & Art Collection. Five of the designs are presented in the form of a set, available in a limited and numbered edition of 777 pieces. Three additional Gents designed by Rankin are available in unlimited editions. 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards presented In New York

The 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards took place last night in New York, USA. The annual event recognises contributions made to American fashion, with awards being given for design excellence in womenswear, menswear and accessories as well as accomplishments in journalism, creative vision and lifetime achievement.

The evening’s Womenswear Designer of the Year award went to Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler presented by actress Naomi Watts. The award for Menswear Designer of the Year was presented by actor Gerard Butler to Michael Bastian. Lady Gaga was the recipient of The Fashion Icon Award, presented by Stephen Gan of Harper’s Bazaar, Visionaire, and V Magazine.

There was also three Swarovski Awards, which recognize emerging talent. The Swarovski Award for Womenswear was given to Prabal Gurung and the Swarovski Award for Menswear was presented to Robert Geller. Recipients in each category will receive financial support from the company as well as exposure to crystal products and applications for fashion.

Tamara Ecclestone named as new face of Ultimo lingerie

Model and TV presenter Tamara Ecclestone, daughter of Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, has been announced as the new “face and body” of lingerie brand Ultimo. The 26-year-old features in the new Ultimo summer campaign, showcasing the latest designs ‘Odyssey’ and ‘Dazzle’ available exclusively from Debenhams stores and the Ultimo website. Tamara has been signed up to front the Ultimo Summer, Autumn and Winter 2011 campaigns, for both Ultimo lingerie and Ultimo Couture.

Celebrity: Emma Watson





While many of us associate the name "Emma Watson" with the witty, sensible character of Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series, few know of her high fashion background which developed along with her acting career. Featured in Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2009 and the Spring/ Summer 2010 issues, Watson was soon viewed as the epitome of high fashion, especially after her cover shoot on the December issue of VOGUE. Although her role in the Harry Potter series may be coming to an end, Emma Watson's fashion journey is sure to be a long one.

Kylie Minogue and Dolce & Gabbana launch design competition

Kylie Minogue and Dolce & Gabbana have launched a global competition for designers, illustrators and fashion designers to produce a design for a T-shirt for Kylie inspired by her latest album; Aphrodite. The selected design will be produced on a T-shirt which will be signed by Kylie and then worn by her in an official photographic shoot and featured on www.kylie.com, Dolce and Gabbana’s site as well as their social networks in addition to the press. The signed t-shirt will be given to the winning designer after the photo-shoot.

Kylie Minogue, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will select the winning design from the pool of outstanding entries. The 50 top-voted submissions will be considered, but the winning entry may be selected from the larger pool of submissions. The Submission Deadline is 2 June, voting will start on 3 June lasting until 9 June, with the winner being announced on 21 June.

Coach name Gwyneth Paltrow as brand ambassador

Luxury accessories brand, Coach Inc. has announced that Gwyneth Paltrow will be the face of the brand’s international 70th anniversary campaign and star in the AW11 and SS12 fashion advertising campaigns. The images, shot on the rooftop of a midtown Manhattan building by fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, are scheduled to break in September issues of international fashion and lifestyle publications.

"Gwyneth Paltrow was a natural choice for this campaign: she embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand," said Reed Krakoff, President and Executive Creative Director. "She is an icon and I am excited to have her as a part of our ongoing legacy."

Jarde Leto announced as face of HUGO Fragrances

HUGO Fragrances has announced the signing of American musician, actor and director, Jared Leto, as the face of its new male fragrance: HUGO Just Different. FiFi Fragrance Awards 2011 winners announced

The 2011 FiFi Awards took place last week at Banqueting House in London. TV personality George Lamb compered the ceremony, held in support of the industry’s charity Look Good…Feel Better, which also featured a performance by singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

For the last two years, the Fragrance Foundation has presented a special FiFi Award for innovative marketing and promotion of the industry. This year’s award went to Emma Hockley, Perfume and Cosmetics Buyer; and Harrods and Fragrance Expert, Roja Dove, for The Perfume Diaries, a celebration of the fragrance industry and its history - an exhibition and museum which attracted over 37,000 visitors. Meanwhile, there were 15 award categories which included Gucci Guilty chosen as Best New Prestige Fragrance for Women and Bleu de Chanel winning the male category.

Superga has announced Alexa Chung as the face of the new campaign. Alexa teamed up with Superga for a new shoot featuring the 2750 style and other pieces from the range for the brand’s 100-year celebration.

Lily Allen introduces new capsule collection

Lily Allen and her sister, Sarah Owen, who launched their Lucy in Disguise vintage store in Covent Garden last year, are expanding into ready-to-wear with a collection of vintage-inspired designs for AW11. The collection revolves around dresses, including Fortnums, a crepe tea dress with lily of the valley print; Chatsworth, a green maxi-dress decorated with sequins, and Capone, a black sequined and beaded tulle dress.

The collection will launch in June exclusively in the U.K. at Harvey Nichols, and will also be sold at the Lucy in Disguise London store and via www.lucyindisguiselondon.com.

Aldo Zilli introduces new range of baby food

Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli and lawyer and entrepreneur Dean Dunham are launching a new organic baby food range into supermarkets. Zilli and Dunham, who each have young children, started work on the new range in 2009 and, following market research and kitchen trials, the first recipes in the Baby Zilli range were created.

The Baby Zilli range initially caters for babies between 4 – 12 months and is divided into four categories; Brekkie (6 months +), Stage One (4 months +), Stage Two (6 months +) and Stage Three (9 months +). Eight initial recipes are being launched, including Zilli Fishy Dishy (salmon and mash) and Cock-a-Leekie (chicken and leeks). Twelve further dishes will be launched in April along with a new Stage Four range (catering for 12 months +).

The new range will be available from June in all Waitrose and Tesco Extra stores, through Ocado and Amazon online and in selected Independent Health Food Stores. Prices range from 89p for Brekkie and Stage 1, £1.29 for Stage 2 and £1.69 for Stage 3.
