Jessie and James is a new childrenswear label launching in the UK this June, created by the couple who both met while working for Vivienne Westwood in London. Jessie Richard trained at the University of Art in Berlin under Vivienne Westwood and moved to London to join Vivienne’s creative team, eventually becoming her Head Pattern cutter. James New was spotted at London Graduate Fashion Week and became a menswear designer for the mainline Man and the Japanese License Vivienne Westwood collections.
The Jessie and James range comprises 23 styles for boys and girls up to the age of three years with prices ranging from £20.00 to £70.00. The first SS12 collection will be launched to the trade at bubble kidswear exhibition on the 19-20 June and will be sold for the first time in Febuary 2012 on the new website, www.jessieandjames.co.uk. The website will launch later in the year and a photo shoot of the collection is due to take place in the upcoming months.
