Tribute to Alexander McQueen
This video truly made me teary eyed.. Bjork's voice, the music and the amazing video put together by Nick Knight have captured the true essence of Mcqueen. Although dark, twisty and rather haunting, this video does not only portray the designer's creations and vision but also his life as he came to know it.
His last collection of masterpieces was styled one last time by Edward Enninful for the video.
"We felt it was important to have the clothes featured one last time on flesh and blood before the [Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art] takes them away," Knight said.
Bjork, a good friend of the late british designer posted the video saying:
"Dear Lee I Can´t Stop Thinking How Both Fierce And Feeble You Are, It Is Difficult To Grasp This My Condolences Go Out To Your Family And Friends And All Your Team Who Must Be All Trying To Fathom This, I Would Like To Thank You For All Your Inspiration, It Was So Important To Me To Get To Work With You And Your Team A Real Mashup Of Fertile Minds It Was Vital To My Development I´m Grateful, And All The Warmth All Around You And Your Mom"...Björk
