Manish Arora for Paco Rabanne

Manish Arora for Paco Rabanne

Everyone knows how much Shades&Coffee loves Manish Arora, so we (myself and contributor Jona) were thrilled to hear that the French fashion house, Paco Rabanne, had announced that Manish Arora would be the new creative director of its womenswear collection, which has not been shown in RTW fashion weeks since 2006.

Rabanne, who was commonly known as the enfant terrible of the french fashion world in the 60s is now handing on the baton to one of this generation's most eccentric designers. Arora's designs have been donned by the likes of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj.

With his avant-garde creations, Arora should redirect the label back into the spotlight, with his first collection for the house debuting at Paris spring/summer 2012 Fashion Week this October.

We can't wait to see the collection.

Ps: Apologies for the absence in the past 2 weeks, I decided not to blog out of respect to the current events taking place in Egypt. Thanks to everyone who still visited the blogs, the number of visits blew me away xx
