When i think of Chanel, i think of Mademoiselle Coco, tweed jackets, round black glasses, pearls and obviously Karl Lagerfeld. But we may be (MAYBE) adding another name to the list.
In a recent interview Monseiur Karl told Numero that although he has a life long contract with Chanel, he'd eventually hand it over to someone, and right now, the man behind the coveted collection is tipping Haider Akcermann to be his successor.
While we'll never know what goes on inside that pony-tailed head, we can look into why he'd choose Ackermann. Check out his latest collection for spring/summer 2011 below.

I absolutelyes love this collection. The fierce cuts of the dresses make them look grungy while still so elegantly flowy. Ackermann used an excellent colour palette that complimented a deep dark black. The leather jackets, the satin pants, the silky dresses and that black and yellow jumpsuit/skirt combo..all had me in awe.
So the guy can construct outrageously gorgeous garments.. Coming from a usually leather clad Lagerfeld, I'm not at all that surprised he'd be eying Ackermann as a successor.
