Upcycled baby clothing label Ta Daa launches in the UK

Ta Daa is a new handmade and upcycled range of children and baby clothing that launched at the Bubble trade show from 19-20 June. The clothes are created by the Ta Daa team in their atelier in Chevreuse Regional Natural Park in France and are made from locally sourced high quality pieces, acquired from Le Relais, a French charitable recycling organisation. The brand uses 100% natural fibres and certain types of yarns and colours to achieve a consistent and unique style in its collection which features designs for newborns and toddlers up to 3 years old and includes dresses, tops, bloomers and trousers.

John Lewis introduces homeware for children

John Lewis is launching its first-ever own range of homeware for children from 16 January 2011. Covering every aspect of domestic life, from kitchen and bathroom, to living room and bedroom, the Little Home range has over 400 product lines providing the opportunity to mix and match according to existing style. The ‘Here There and Everywhere’ collection (shown here) includes a duvet cover with pillow case and can be matched with the van boudoir cushion and car fleece throw. In addition, there are a number of bedroom accessories to ensure a coordinated look can be created. These include; Little Home letters, Life Saver cushion, Ahoy There Bunting, and Robot table lamp, The Little Home cookware range sets of silicone cupcake cases, Robot cupcake moulds, Robot cake tins and Little Home basting brushes and rolling pins. Ringspun to introduce new kidswear line

UK brand Ringspun is set to introduce a new kidswear line - Ringspun Offspring - next year. AW11 sees the details and mix of textures from wartime and 1940's collegiate brought up-to-date with a Ringspun twist. From battered bases with college inspired logo overlay tees, polos and sweats, through to over-dye military quilt jackets, preppy cardigans and dip-dyed over detailed shirts. The kidswear range is completed with Ringspun's ALLSTARS range, which sits on soft long sleeved brushed cotton tees and exhibits icons suck as Bob Marley, Che Guevara, Bruce Lee and Jimi Hendrix. The new collection will be available in January 2011 priced between £8.00 to £28.00.

Stella McCartney launches first Kids collection

Stella McCartney introduces a new product line with the launch of her first Stella McCartney Kids wear collection. Stella McCartney Kids will launch early November in time for the holiday season with a capsule collection that adheres to the designer’s signature modern aesthetic and ethical values. The distribution of the collection will primarily be focused online with the worldwide launch of www.stellamccartneykids.com - a dedicated website with express shipping to 200 countries. The new site contains playful features and unique shopping experiences such as a dedicated “playground section” inviting children and parents to interact with one another on the site. In addition to the online shopping service, the collection will also be stocked at Stella McCartney stores in London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Dubai, Qatar and Kuwait and will be available worldwide online and in stores. Comprised of styles for both boys and girls in ages ranging from 0 to 12 years. The fun, modern and playful designs named after kids’ first names include: the Ingrid floral print dress for girls, the Aldo quilted field jacket for boys, unisex for both: the Sam wool and cashmere blend pea coat and the Tammy natural rubber rain boots. The collection is made from the best possible fabrics chosen for both style and function; this includes organic cotton onesies, Stella McCartney’s signature knickers of the week. Price point ranges from 19 euros for a baby's t-shirt to 150 euros for a coat. Stella McCartney Kids will be available four seasons a year; Holiday in November, Spring-Summer in February, High Summer in May and Autumn/Winter in August. For the second season, the collection will be developed into a full range and will also expand in wholesale retail distribution in 2011. Stella McCartney Kids will also be supported by a media campaign both in print and online; through social media activities in Facebook and Twitter; and the launch of an iPhone application. The advertising campaign was shot by Ryan McGinley, who has previously worked on various Stella McCartney projects and ad campaigns.
