Helena Christensen fronting new campaign for Silhouette Eyewear

Silhouette Eyewear has announced Helena Christensen and Nadja Auermann as the faces and spokespeople for the new 'Crystal' range, with a campaign photographed by fashion photographer Neil Kirk.

Silhouette’s Crystal Collection includes four prescription and three sunglasses models. All crystal rimless eyewear is 80% crafted by hand in Austria using high quality materials – high tech titanium and SPX – and refined using crystals cut in Austria.

Gok Wan unveils new collection for Specsavers

Gok Wan today unveils a collection of retro glasses he has designed exclusively for Specsavers.

GW by Gok Wan showcases 30 different styles, which have drawn influence from the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. The new collection is available from today (25 February) in all Specsavers stores throughout the UK and Ireland. Glasses are priced at £99.00 and including Pentax single vision lenses and scratch-resistant coating as standard.

To coincide with the launch, customers can visit the Specsavers Facebook page www.facebook.com/specsavers and try the new Gok Wan style app, which helps with the frame selection process.

Loewe unveils new limited-edition collection

Loewe is introducing Cherry Blossom, a limited-edition collection of leather goods launching to coincide with the start of Spring. The collection comprises five pieces; three bags, a zip-around purse and a bag charm.

Loewe’s signature bag, the Amazona, is constructed unlined from bonded calfskin and suede. This design also features perforations in the shape of semi-cut flowers, these have been created by high-pressure water jets. The Ala design features 368 flowers that have been mounted by hand, taking a craftsman 16 hours to construct and place. Each piece has a limited-edition embossing with a graphic flower detail and arrives in a box specially designed by Loewe for this collection.

The collection will be available from the end of March, following an exclusive launch in Japan two weeks earlier. Prices range from €2,500.00 for the Ala to €175.00 for the charm.

Kirk Originals introduces London flagship

Eyewear brand Kirk Originals, has unveiled a new central London flagship store. Located on Conduit Street, the flagship features a devoted ground floor of glasses and sunglasses with full eye examinations and fittings available in the basement. The store ambiance will be contemporary taking inspiration from the latest Kinetic and Kinetic Solaire collections with in-store projections that play on the notion of vision. Continuing the theme of ‘eyes’, the front window display will be a showcase of blinking eyes that change as shoppers pass in front of the store. The store will also be stocking a selection of independent eyewear brands exclusive to the UK, these will include The Leisure Society, a brand new collection designed by Californian designer Shane Baum and Undostrial, a colourful metallic range from Paris. Celebrity fans include Elton John, Oasis, U2, Samuel L. Jackson, Julia Roberts and Vic Reeves.

New range of belts from Thomas Sabo

Thomas Sabo has launched a new range of belts in keeping with the adventurer theme of the Spring/Summer 2010 jewellery and watches collections. Sterling silver buckles are mixed with black cubic zirconium, onyx or turquoise detail, with soft dark brown and black leather straps. This range of belts are exclusively available in Selfridges, with prices starting from £598.00.
