Loewe unveils new limited-edition collection

Loewe is introducing Cherry Blossom, a limited-edition collection of leather goods launching to coincide with the start of Spring. The collection comprises five pieces; three bags, a zip-around purse and a bag charm.

Loewe’s signature bag, the Amazona, is constructed unlined from bonded calfskin and suede. This design also features perforations in the shape of semi-cut flowers, these have been created by high-pressure water jets. The Ala design features 368 flowers that have been mounted by hand, taking a craftsman 16 hours to construct and place. Each piece has a limited-edition embossing with a graphic flower detail and arrives in a box specially designed by Loewe for this collection.

The collection will be available from the end of March, following an exclusive launch in Japan two weeks earlier. Prices range from €2,500.00 for the Ala to €175.00 for the charm.

Patrick Cox reveals diffusion line

This Winter sees the launch of a new diffusion range from British brand Patrick Cox. The luxury handbag label introduces this new collection of for Autumn/Winter 2010 but at a lower price point that the regular Patrick Cox line. Available from selected retailers including House of Fraser these leather goods include bags and purses and retail from £60.00 to £185.00.

Gianfranco Ferré launches Autumn/Winter bag collection

Gianfranco Ferré is launching the new Atena bag for the Autumn/Winter collection. Featuring a double chain on the shoulder strap and a smart lock closure. The various models are available in the smooth or braided version, alternate chamois suede, patent and laminated leather. Beyond pumps and sandals, the main attraction of the season are the leather weave platform ankle boots with a narrow heel in hammered metal.
