Absolute Bridal magazine set to launch in September

Absolute Bridal magazine is set to launch this September published by Main Event Company UK. The new A4 glossy, local to Essex and Hertfordshire, will feature real weddings, dream venues, bridalwear and all things essential for the special day. Three issues per year; Autumn (September - November), Winter (December - February) and Spring (March - May), will be distributed directly to brides at Wedding shows and mailed to the publisher's database of brides. It will also be available from the Essex Registry Offices and the Meadows Shopping Centre in Chelmsford. The new magazine is edited by Kath Eastoe.

Womenswear label Suzannah debuts bridal line

Bride by Suzannah is a new new collection of vintage-inspired wedding dresses from couture party and cocktail dress designer Suzannah Crabb. With a celebrity following including Jasmine Guinness, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Hollywood actress Julie Christie, the collection includes a range of dresses inspired by flappers of the 1920’s and 1970’s styles in neutrals of rose quartz tinted ivory, clotted cream and warm white. Amanda Wakeley Sposa 2012 collection to launch at White Gallery London

Amanda Wakeley Sposa will launch her 2012 collection at the White Gallery London on 22-24 May 2011. Presenting a luxurious range of dresses, injecting new shapes and contemporary light fabrics, silhouettes are defined. Contrasting crisp double satin and silk Mikado through to silk georgette and silk tulle is a signature style for Amanda Wakeley Sposa. Embellishment, folds, drapes and ruching are key with an emphasis on enhancing the body from clever draping and contoured panelling rather than restrictive corsetry. Amanda Wakeley launched her signature label in 1990 and has been designing for the last two decades. Through her designs, she has developed an international reputation and was awarded an OBE for her services to the fashion industry.

Matthew Williamson to launch new Bridal Collection at White Gallery London in May 2011

Matthew Williamson will launch the Bridal Collection at White Gallery London in May 2011. Following the success of the SS10 collection designed for Net-a-Porter, 2011 sees the launch of the complete collection of the Bridal range. It is showcasing exclusively at White Gallery London at a catwalk show and stand that buyers and retailers are invited to preview. Showing alongside Matthew Williamson are exclusive designs from among others; Anoushka G, Johanna Hehir, Olivia Couture, Sassi Holford and Ugo Zaldi.

Brides at Work in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer

Brides at Work in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer is taking place today (Friday 17 September) and will see people across the UK wearing wedding attire to work. To celebrate the charity day Alton Towers Resort is offering free entrance to the theme park this Friday to those dressed in wedding attire. The usual entrance fee will then be automatically donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the UK’s leading charity committed to fighting breast cancer. The National Wedding Show has also announced an exclusive pink themed auction of hand-picked bespoke and limited edition products for wedding days all courtesy of National Wedding Show exhibitors, with all proceeds going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The auction will be live at www.nwsauction.co.uk/lots until the National Wedding Show, taking place in Birmingham from 8 – 10 October. In support of Brides at Work, National Wedding Show owner, Ocean Media, will donate a 50p from every show ticket purchased to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
