Description: San Diego designer Fransisco Medagov will be holding a fashion show featuring gowns, capes and opera coats at the brand new Planet Rooth Studios Haus. The Winter Collection is titled 'Erté in the 21st Century'.

The title of the collection, and Medagov's inspiration for the Winter Collection, is inspired by French artist and designer Romain de Tirtoff, a 20th century French artist and designer who went by the pseudo-name of Erté. Theater and opera designs were but a few of Tirtoff's specialties.

Medagov's Fall Collection truly embodies the spirit of Tirtoff designs while keeping his unique style. This is a night nobody will want to miss.

Ready for an adventure? This is the second to last Saturday that the oldest active ship in the world The Star of India will be open for tours (and it's right here in San Diego!) Since it was built in 1863, this boat has traveled to Great Britain, India and Alaska. This isn't your regular ol' ship tour though. You will be led by lantern light and get to hear haunting stories of the creaky ship. One such story is how an Army captain aboard the boat somehow slit his throat...!

So now, what to wear on this adventure? I think we should be thinking nostalgic outfit. Think Titanic, think 1920's fur. Think heirloom jewelry that will sparkle in the lantern light making little flickers on the walls of the boat. Think royal blue dress with lace trim echoing styles of the past. Think classic beauty.

This way, even when your eyebrows raise and you freeze in fright, you'll look like a movie screen still all the while fabulously dressed. ;).

Big Boi of OutKast will be the attraction of UCSD's 2010 Fall Fest. The event will take place at Warren Field tonight at 7 pm. Unless you are willing to dance the whole night, bring a jacket! This is the time to show off that body and dress to impress. Consider wearing a frock with sleek boots and printed stockings or an LBD! Whatever you do, try not to wear heels! They could very well sink into the grass.
Friday night booked? Big Boi will also be playing at FLUXX Saturday night.
