loving all these images i found on pinterest in the past few weeks. i enjoy the mix of industrial metals and woods with pops of color.  i will have to paint some vintage finds with some bold yet calm colors soon! whats your favorite pop of color in room.... a burst of yellow or maybe a harsh red?  do tell!

oooooh, how i swoon over merriweathercouncil's designs!  what great gift ideas too.  they are small enough to adorn any desk and have a great 'color pop' to stand out in a new dorm room!  maybe even collect a few and spice up a boring wall in your house.... check out all her custom necklaces too.  there are plenty of pieces to see in her shop or visit her new blog if your up for it.   be inspired

i have been swooning over darker, dreamy pictures lately. i love the feeling these photographers captured with movement and color. these tell a story, as if you caught each individual in mid-stride... i pulled the colors out of each picture too {the little interior designer in me wanted to put a few color palettes together}.  i am going through a dark phase today, i see!  maybe some inspiration to try a few self-portraits......

i had quite the exciting adventure with Kim Thiel and her model this past week.  i assisted her while she created this amazing photo {i blew up the hot pink balloon and mastered the bubble machine}

today lets visit a little shop called {magalerie}, located in paris, france! her name is anne and she sells gorgeous and fun prints. i am a big fan of white on white like the first photo.  its quite minimal and clean.  right up my alley, along with all the fun sayings and colorful candies.  stop by her shop and check out what else she has!

*side note - i was just accepted into the university of oregon's graduate interior architecture program - hence the picture above.  the picture is of one of the new buildings (for athletes only) that  "the design is an extroverted box within a box, with a transparency via a glass skin that allows permeation from the outside-in, creating a sense of community"  cool right? designed by ZGF Architect.  i will be moving to eugene in the fall with my husband and dog, yippie!

{vintage} color

midweek and we are moving on to quite the colorful vintage items, well photos of vintage things!  the 'vintage by color' collection is from {Hilda Grahnat}.  she is a young photographer based in the great country of sweden.  i 'oooooo-ed' and 'ahhhhhhh-ed' when i saw her photos!  she has many more gorgeous photos on her site and her blog.

identical {twins}

continuing on our bold colors this week, here is a wonderful print by {judy kaufmann}.  its a favorite of mine, first because i love the colors and second because my husband is an identical twin.   its super fun and great color inspiration for any room!  she sells some of her fab prints in her {etsy shop} too.
